Stay Within the Lines

This week I had absolutely no idea how I wanted to design my nails. After maybe five attempts and copious amounts of nail polish remover being inhaled I caved and came up with these babies!

I am quite delighted with these as I think it still follows quite well from last week's Sophisticated Minimal post. A steady hand and some extreme patience was required for these, and after five attempts of trying different designs I almost gave up.

Hope you like these as much as I do.

Have a happy week :)

Sophisticated Minimal

This weeks post is based on a minimalistic look. I wanted to try out the new polishes I had bought from Kiko http://www.kikocosmetics.com/eshop/uk they have the most amazing polishes. Fantastic quality and at an even better price. All the colours and shades of the rainbow, including sparkle polishes all for just £1.50 a bottle...BARGAIN!

Any-one can achieve this look with a little bit of patience. All I used to get the straight-ish lines was scotch tape. Make sure that you don't use cello tape. That thing will peel your polish off like no-ones business. So to start off with I painted all my nails using the lightest tone. once dry I carefully stuck scotch tape down the middle. Carefully painted the exposed side with the darked tone. Let it dry and, voilĂ . I topped it of buy just adding an on trend motif on my ring finger.

However to make it more interesting you can add rhinestones to create a sophisticated yet minimalistic look perfect for the office.

Enjoy!

Floral Jungle

I think I am getting a little obsessed with this whole one-stroke nail art. However, today I decided to make life a little easier for myself and colour my florals in layers. Doesn't make the same sketchy impact in my opinion as my last post, but a good experiment never the less!

Even though it is coming up to autumn/winter I am still feeling for these gorgeous summer shades, makes my hands pop and I love it!

The image does look slightly dull, but that it because I have played around with it in Photoshop. Reminds me of a vintage Hawaiian beach holiday.

I have also decided to finally water-mark my images :)

PS. apologies for my early post!

until next Monday happy reading!

One Stroke Nail Art

I have been researching for weeks before taking the plunge to recreate my own version of a one-stroke floral nail art. There are so many beautiful examples on the Internet! Here is my recreation...

Let me know what you think...

Animal Magic

Evening All!! Week 2 of Just Another Mani-Monday and I have yet another nail art of mine to share with you.

It is so easy and simple to do! You just need a steady hand :)
Jazz it up with another colour on top of the leopard spots in gold maybe?

Lace Inspired Nails

These are my own designs. I was looking for some lace inspired nails and decided instead I would go for some china-blue like nails but using a lovely summer pastel purple.
